During CycloBia, miles of streets in downtown Brownsville, Texas, will be closed to cars and trucks so residents (and, increasingly, visitors) can gather to bike, walk, jog, dance, socialize and simply have fun.

The Brownsville CycloBia is organized by the city's Department of Public Health in collaboration with local businesses, service agencies and nonprofits. The city police and traffic departments assist with road closures and security and more than 50 volunteers help before and during the event.

Exercise and cycle safely on selected streets.

Streets will be available to residents for recreational and sport activities

Experience the city from a different perspective.

Engaging activities, vendors, and music for everyone.

The upcoming Cyclobia will be
in Downtown Brownsville.
Make sure to come out to this FREE event! Bring your bike to save time from renting one ahead of time. No bike? No problem! We offer bike rentals, however you will need a valid driver's license and credit card. For any other question or concerns please call us at 956-546- HELP.

CycloBia will need many volunteers to be successful. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Esmeralda Flores with the City of Brownsville Health Department.

You can reach her either by phone at 956-547-6530 or via e-mail at esmeralda.flores@cob.us.  Volunteers can choose to help the day of the event only or the weeks before the event by helping with promoting the event.
